Under My Skin

“Old Friends and new come together and start falling in love again – outside of existing relationships! Explore how the fault-lines of our hearts intersect with our deepest hopes and fears.”

Under My Skin is a collaborative LARP that explores issues around faith, love and commitment. It asks the players to engage with these challenging emotional themes in honesty and explore the space together with compassion and patience. It is played out in a series of acts, and uses several atypical techniques to draw out the story in ways that aren’t necessarily just a linear series of events.

You should consider playing this if:
– you have an interest in unusual LARP structures
– deep emotional play is your jam
– you enjoy using LARP to explore issues and situations that can apply to your life

You should consider avoiding this if:
– you don’t enjoy romantic stories (especially complicated ones)
– you aren’t comfortable with emotional play, especially play that can bleed over between character and player
– you prefer continuous play instead of a story broken into acts and scenes

If you wish to sign up for Under My Skin, please click here. It is running on Sunday, November 9, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. This event is organized by James Brown.

Characters for this game are created as a group at the beginning of play. Costuming for this game is not required; wear clothing you find comfortable to sit and move around in.

Signups for this LARP are handled with a modified lottery. When the signup period closes, or I reach 16 signups, I will select players from the list at random, with the following consideration: Because of the intimate emotional themes of this game and the high-trust environment necessary, the signup form asks if there are any players you are not comfortable playing this kind of content with, and that will inform the lottery process. The responses will be kept completely confidential.

There is a minimum number of 4 players for the event to run, and it caps at 8. Players 18+ only, please.
